Malcolm Weistein is released legally from jail. Conrad Cameron escapes from prison, and through witch craft, compels his half- brother to meet him in Forest Lake. He has a score to settle with Uncle Ken, Conrad's distant cousin. The Chief Superintendent, along with his wife, Ted's Aunt Charlotte is raising Crystal as their own daughter.
The stand-off begins with Uncle Matt and Ted when Conrad holds the entire Olson family hostage, threatening to kill the babies if his demands are not met. Uncle Matt tells him he doesn't have the authority to see that he gets Crystal back and Conrad demands Uncle Ken be brought back from vacation. The stand-off ends peacefully.
Ted is touched when he notices a definite softening from within, in Conrad. he learns the power of prayer as the Holy Spirit works in the once high priest and brings him to salvation.
